During his speech to Al-Youm, Al-Hamidani explained that the Hajj Operations Center and Command and Control are witnessing a high level of integration and coordination between all security agencies and partners working within the center, noting that the operational system relies on the latest smart systems and modern technologies that allow for rapid decision-making and immediate support of field operations.

Advanced digital platforms

He indicated that the center works in partnership with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority and the King Abdulaziz City for Science. And technology through a number of advanced digital platforms, which provide accurate indicators of the movement of crowds and human densities in various vital locations within Mecca and the Holy Sites.

He pointed out that among the most prominent of these platforms are the systems concerned with measuring human density rates, starting from the entrances to Mecca and reaching the central area, in addition to the “Baseer” platform, which tracks the movement of crowds inside the Grand Mosque, and measures the distribution of densities at the doors of the Grand Mosque, as well as the occupancy rates in the courtyard, floors, and roof. Circumambulation.

He added that these platforms give television surveillance supervisors accurate indicators that contribute to making appropriate decisions to manage crowds in the field, and to direct instructions directly to field commanders, ensuring the safety of the pilgrims is maintained and the highest levels of flow and organization are maintained.

Continuous technical updates

Al-Hamidani pointed out that the technical systems used in the center are subject to continuous updates with the aim of developing the services provided to pilgrims, indicating that the system also includes advanced thermal cameras in the Arafat site, which are used To monitor intruders with high accuracy and support security efforts in field sites.

He also pointed out the operation of the “Roua” platform in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, which works to measure temperatures and identify the hottest locations within the sites, in addition to monitoring vehicles located in uninhabited sites in coordination with air monitoring, in a way that enhances the speed of response and raises the efficiency of field operations during the Hajj season.

He stressed that all these technical and organizational efforts come within the framework of harnessing modern capabilities to serve the pilgrims, Achieving the highest levels of security, safety and organization during their movements and performance of rituals.
