Shabab Al-Ahly is crowned champion of the table tennis league
Dubai, May 25 / WAM / Shabab Al-Ahli team was crowned champion of the men’s table tennis league, after defeating Al-Nasr by a score of 4-2 in the deciding match that brought them together today at Al-Wasl Club Hall, retaining the title for the second season in a row.
The two teams exchanged wins back and forth, before resorting to a playoff match that was decided by Shabab Al-Ahly in their favor after a strong performance by its players in the decisive confrontation.
Following the conclusion of the match, His Excellency Eng. Daoud Al Hajri, President of the UAE Table Tennis Federation, crowned the Shabab Al Ahly team with the championship shield and gold medals.
Shabab Al-Ahly concluded its season by achieving the local treble, after also winning the Emirates Cup title, in addition to winning the individual championship.
