Mansour bin Mohammed congratulates "Dubai Basketball" The historic Adriatic League title
DUBAI, 13 JUNE / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, congratulated the Dubai Basketball Club on the occasion of being crowned champion of the Adriatic League for the 2025-2026 season, following its victory over Partizan of Serbia with a score of 83-81 in the fourth match of the final round, becoming the first team representing Dubai and the UAE to win a title in one of the most prominent international basketball tournaments.
His Highness confirmed, in a blog post on his official account on the “X” platform, that the team achieved a historic achievement within just two years of starting its career, after excelling in the final series and achieving three victories against Serbian Partizan Belgrade, becoming the first Emirati club to win a major international basketball championship title.
His Highness said: “We congratulate the Dubai Basketball Team for being crowned champion of the Adriatic League for the 2025-2026 season, after achieving three victories in the final series against the Serbian club Partizan Belgrade, achieving a historic achievement within just two years of starting its career representing Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, and becoming the first Emirati club to win a major international basketball championship title.”
His Highness added: “We also congratulate the founder and Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, Brother Abdullah Saeed Al Nabooda, and all the fans, while wishing the Dubai Basketball Team success in its upcoming participation in the European League (EuroLeague).”
