"Kalba Sports Festival "He adopts his new identity
Sharjah, June 13 / WAM / The organizing committee of the first edition of the Kalba Sports Festival, during its second meeting, headed by His Excellency Dr. Saif Al Zaabi, member of the Sharjah Sports Council, approved the new identity of the festival, which includes a group of sports competitions, community events and entertainment programmes.
The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Sharjah Sports Council, was attended by Abdul Rahman Al Darmaki, director of the festival, and members of the organizing committee.
The meeting discussed the features of the first edition of the festival and the reports of the subcommittees related to the preparations, competition programs, accompanying events, the opening ceremony, and the media campaign for the event.
It was also decided to adopt a new visual identity for the festival that is consistent with its new vision and reflects the distinctive features of the city of Kalba, in addition to organizing a field visit to the event site to determine the organizational arrangements and follow up on their implementation in coordination with the relevant authorities and committees.
The meeting witnessed the adoption of the strategic vision of the festival, under the slogan “Kalba is a leading destination for sports and society,” which reflects the event’s direction towards strengthening the city’s position as a destination for sports, society and tourism, contributing to raising the quality of life, enhancing community participation, and investing in the natural components that characterize the city of Kalba.
During the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Saif Al Zaabi stressed the importance of the festival with its new identity, pointing out that its various activities will confirm the position of the city of Kalba as a leading destination for sports and society, and that working as a single team will ensure the desired success of the event in its new guise.
He explained that the festival represents an extension of the successes achieved by the Kalba Beach Games during the past five years, stressing the importance of highlighting the new transformation of the festival at the organizational and content levels through various technical and logistical arrangements.
He pointed out that the festival will invest its various activities in promoting the tourism potential of the city of Kalba during the festival’s duration.
