Abu Dhabi, May 26 / WAM / The “Abu Dhabi Sports Summer” and “Al Ain Sports Summer” events are preparing to return again next June, through the fifth and fourth editions, respectively, at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Centers, as part of the largest summer indoor sporting events in the Middle East.

The ADNEC Group, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the ADNOC Group, is organizing the fifth edition of the “Abu Dhabi Summer of Sports 2026” during the period from June 6 to August 23, while the ADNEC Al Ain Center will host the fourth edition of the “Al Ain Summer of Sports” from June 10 to August 19.

The two events come in support of the UAE’s vision of establishing Abu Dhabi and Al Ain as leading destinations for sports, health and active lifestyles throughout the year, by providing fully air-conditioned international sports facilities targeting various segments of society.

This year’s edition witnesses the addition of 10 new sports, including e-sports, virtual and augmented reality technologies, judo, boxing, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, handball, pickleball, and cycling, in addition to expanding facilities for a number of mass sports, such as football, basketball, padel, running, badminton, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, cricket, chess, fitness, and challenge and obstacle courses.

The activities include competitive tournaments, training programs, specialized workshops, fitness areas, spaces designated for families, and children’s camps, in addition to the “Community Village,” which aims to enhance community participation and establish a culture of physical activity and healthy living, in line with the “Year of the Family” initiative in the UAE.

The agenda also includes various community activities, including International Yoga Day, Emirati Women’s Day, International Chess Day, and Senior Emirati Citizens’ Day, in addition to the launch of new areas concerned with health, education, and community activities, as well as cultural and heritage activities that celebrate Abu Dhabi’s identity and its authentic societal values.
