24 hour work.. "Ports" Preventing the accumulation of goods during the Eid holiday

The Authority stressed the need to maintain the handling rates and approved time periods for docking and departure of ships, and to continue providing all maritime services without interruption.
In an official circular, “Ports” directed shipping agents to fully adhere to the regulations for practicing the activity, and to enable beneficiaries to complete their procedures throughout the period of official vacations and holidays.
She stressed the importance of issuing delivery permits electronically without any delay, prohibiting refraining from issuing them or linking them to irregular requirements that hinder the clearance and receipt of containers.
The Authority called on agents to adhere to continuous working hours to receive and deliver containers in yards and warehouses, while announcing a clear mechanism for receiving empty containers that includes contact numbers.
It required providing communication and customer service channels around the clock, to respond to beneficiaries’ inquiries, address operational observations, and issue immediate return approvals for containers.
The Authority obligated all concerned parties to take operational measures and provide sufficient administrative and technical personnel, to prevent any delay or congestion that affects the efficiency of the ports.
The General Ports Authority pointed out that holidays and holidays are counted within the fees for storing incoming and exporting goods, and are not excluded from the period specified in accordance with the organization’s regulations.
At the conclusion of its circular, the Authority warned against negligence in implementing these operational instructions, vowing to take all legal measures against violating parties.
