Iranian attacks are a blatant violation of our sovereignty and a direct threat to the lives of civilians

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the sinful Iranian attacks that targeted the territory of the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones, in a dangerous escalation and blatant violation of the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the State of Kuwait, and a direct threat to the lives of civilians and vital installations.
The Ministry confirmed that this escalation comes at a time when tireless efforts are being made by a number of brotherly and friendly countries to reduce tension, calm the situation, and spare the region from further escalation, which doubles the seriousness of these attacks and undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at maintaining regional security and stability. Iran demands an immediate and unconditional cessation of these sinful attacks, and holds it fully responsible for these attacks, as they represent a blatant aggression against the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait, and a grave violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and Security Council Resolution No. 2817 of 2026.
The Ministry stressed that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its lands and vital installations against any aggression or threat, based on its inherent right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law.
