المملكة: Municipalities: Examining 5,000 food samples and implementing 29,000 monitoring visits to serve the pilgrims


The results of the health and food control work carried out by Guests of God during the season.

The Ministry indicated that the monitoring work included central markets, storage sites, and catering facilities, in addition to field campaigns aimed at enhancing food safety and raising the level of compliance in Mecca and the holy sites during the Hajj season.

The Ministry confirmed that the food control system worked in the field through five mobile laboratories, 10 on-site inspection devices, and about 40 monitoring vehicles, which enhanced the speed of verifying food safety and immediately dealing with observations in high-density sites related to the movement of pilgrims and their movement between the holy sites.

The Ministry also clarified that no cases of food poisoning have been recorded during the 1447 AH Hajj season so far.

This comes as an extension of the efforts of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing during the Days of Tashreeq, by continuing to implement its operational and supervisory plans in Mina, and raising the readiness of the field teams and centers. Municipal services, to ensure the continuity of cleanliness, environmental sanitation and health control, which contributes to enhancing the quality of services provided to the guests of God and enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.
