Eid days lasting for about a week, and high temperatures.. What other time seems more suitable for swimming pools? Perhaps this is the voice of many citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain, with swimming pools and private rest houses becoming the most prominent destination during the Eid Al-Adha holiday. Between the desire to escape the crowding, and the search for a family and private atmosphere, families and young people are heading to rest houses equipped with swimming pools and outdoor seating, amid rapid reservations and offers spreading widely across social networking sites, so that the pools have become a main theme of the Eid days this year.
Over the past few days, social media platforms have been filled with advertisements for pools and rest houses promoting Eid offers, whether through special discounts or packages that include outdoor seating and entertainment facilities, in addition to providing an atmosphere suitable for family and youth gatherings during the holiday period.
Those working in the sector confirm that the demand usually begins on the second day of Eid, as many families prefer to spend the first day between family visits, before heading to recreational activities and rest during the rest of the days of the holiday.
Fawaz Al-Mulla, owner of the “Bahrain Vibe” website, said that reservations actually start from the second day of Eid, explaining that the majority of people prefer to postpone pool reservations until after the first day of Eid.
He added: “The turnout currently is excellent, praise be to God, but usually the turnout on Eid al-Fitr is slightly higher compared to Eid al-Adha, due to a number of people traveling for Hajj during this period.”
He pointed out that the prices of rest houses and pools vary according to the area and services, starting from about 60 dinars for small rest houses, and may reach 200 dinars for larger and more private options.
For his part, the owner of “Voila Villa” confirmed that reservations during the Eid period are fully completed from the first day until the end of the vacation.
He said: “Praise be to God, the demand is very excellent this season, and reservations are completely full throughout the days of Eid.”
He explained that prices during holidays are about 120 dinars, while on normal days they drop to about 100 dinars.
Citizens believe that renting pools and rest houses has become one of the preferred options during the holidays, especially with the rising temperatures and the desire of families to spend private times away from crowds.
Umm Youssef said that she used to rent a swimming pool every year during the Eid holiday, considering that the special atmosphere gives the family an opportunity to rest and gather. She added: “Children love swimming, and resting gives us more privacy, especially since the vacation is long and we need to change the usual routine.”
While the young man, Ali Hassan, said that many young people have begun to prefer spending Eid in private rest houses and pools instead of crowded places.
He added: “The pools have become a suitable option for youth and family gatherings, especially with the presence of fully equipped places with seating, barbecue, and an atmosphere suitable for Eid.”
As for Sarah Abdullah, she confirmed that social networking sites played a major role in increasing demand, noting that most reservations are currently made through “Instagram” after watching the offers and videos of the rest houses.
She said: “The accounts clearly display the details of the place, from the lighting to the seating areas and the swimming pool, and this encourages people to book quickly before the appointments are complete.”
