Tarut Castle…an artistic painting evoking the first urbanization in the Arabian Peninsula

The researcher and visual artist, Muhammad Al-Musali, documented the historical monuments Tarot Palace and its urban imaginations about 150 years ago, based on the narratives of contemporary elders.

The heritage researcher revealed historical myths that refer to the arrival of the King of Sumer, “Gilgamesh,” to Ain and the Tarut Palace in search of the “water of life.” He stated that personal research suggests that Tarut is the original home of the palm tree, which constitutes an agricultural and historical legacy for the region. He stressed that the Tarut Palace, located in the “Deira” area, represents The first urbanization in the Arabian Peninsula, the Kingdom and the Arabian Gulf.
