Seha Holding and its affiliated health clusters are proactive businesses "Hajj in health" In its second edition for this year’s Hajj season 1447 AH, serving more than 134,329 domestic pilgrims, highlighting an integrated system of Medical services and awareness provided in partnership with the Arab National Bank, in line with the systems and paths of the Saudi healthcare model and the objectives of the health sector transformation program And the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

In its current season, the initiative witnessed a leap in monitoring and prevention; National cadres carried out 120,736 laboratory tests for pilgrims, which contributed to the discovery and monitoring of 16,994 cases of chronic diseases that had not been diagnosed before, including diabetes, blood pressure, and other diseases.

Digital eyes for diabetics

In a technical transformation that is the first of its kind in the Kingdom, the initiative used smart sensor devices to monitor diabetics remotely around the clock.

Effective communication took place with more than 3,036 pilgrims in 5 different regions to secure the installation of sensors for those with high-risk cases, which allowed their data to be read in real time through the Diabetes Command and Control Center of Health Holding under the supervision of Saudi doctors.

This digital care extended on the field within the holy sites through the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Cluster, which installed the sensors and tracked the blood sugar levels of the affected pilgrims to ensure that they performed the rituals easily and in good health.

Intensive field care

At the curative and preventive levels, a campaign was presented "Hajj in health" A package of services included the dispensing of more than 18,359 medication prescriptions, and the distribution of 8,324 emergency bags designated for diabetics, in addition to intensifying field visits to residences to provide initial consultations and examinations.

The Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Cluster also undertook direct field follow-up of pilgrims whose diseases were discovered during the season and visited them in Al-Mashaer to check on them and provide them with medical interventions, in parallel with linking them electronically to primary health care centers in their cities. And their areas through the family doctor in the 20 health clusters immediately after the end of their Hajj trip.

Examinations and tests

Compared to the first version of the initiative last year, which recorded the benefit of 123,000 pilgrims and 290,000 examinations and the discovery of 11,000 chronic cases, the initiative was distinguished this year by starting its work early as proactive care within the cities of pilgrims before they headed to the Holy Capital.

The proactive work included conducting examinations. tests, providing basic vaccinations, providing medical equipment and medicines, and broadcasting comprehensive health education programs to ensure a safe and healthy Hajj trip.
