Jordan delays official working hours to support the “Nashama” in their first appearance in the World Cup

Today, Sunday, the Jordanian government decided to delay the start of official working hours in the public sector during the days when the national team plays its matches in the FIFA World Cup finals, to enable fans to support the team, nicknamed “Al-Nashama,” in its first historic participation in the tournament.

According to a decision issued by Jordanian Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, official working hours will begin at 10:00 a.m. local time on June 17, 23, and 28, instead of 8:30 a.m. The Prime Minister said in a statement that the decision comes “with the aim of enabling citizens to follow the matches of our national football team and support it during its historic participation in this tournament.”

Jordan had achieved an unprecedented achievement by qualifying for the World Cup finals for the first time in its history, which sparked a wave of massive celebrations in the country.

The Jordanian national team is competing in the World Cup in the difficult tenth group, which includes alongside it Argentina, the defending champion, and the strong Algerian national team, in addition to Austria.

The dates set by the Jordanian government coincide with Jordan’s three matches in the group stage, as the Jordanians hope that their team will succeed in providing a distinguished performance and surpassing the group stage despite the difficulty of the task.
