The patient was placed in precautionary isolation in an institute specializing in infectious diseases.

Another man isolated
In Rio de Janeiro, the Secretariat of Health announced the isolation of a man who had arrived from Uganda to Brazil in May 22, and he showed viral symptoms such as cough, chills, and diarrhea.
The Rio de Janeiro mayor’s office explained on Sunday in an email that tests conducted on the man showed he was infected with malaria, but his condition is still under investigation.
The authorities in São Paulo confirmed that the technical assessment indicates that the risk of the disease spreading to Brazil and South America remains very low.
