Indonesia.. Five killed in a bomb explosion left over from World War II
A bomb suspected to be from Remnants of World War II under a house in an Indonesian fishing village, killing five people and wounding about twenty, according to what the police announced on Monday.
The explosion occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Papua province in eastern Indonesia, which is witnessing movement Mutiny, causing a ball of flame followed by a thick cloud of smoke, according to footage from local media.
Injuries and destroyed homes
The incident resulted in the destruction of nine homes. A police spokesman said: "The source of the explosion is suspected to have been a bomb left over from World War II"
Three people are still missing, and 19 people have received treatment from Minor injuries, according to the source.
He added "We will provide additional updates once searches are complete"
Indonesia was a major battlefield during World War II between Japan and the Allied Forces.
