The number of suspected Ebola cases exceeds 1,100 in Congo and Uganda

Two men isolated in Brazil
The Brazilian authorities announced the isolation of two men, one of whom came from the Republic of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the other from Uganda, on suspicion of being infected with the Brazil.
The patient was placed in precautionary isolation in an institute specializing in infectious diseases.
Later, he was diagnosed with a severe form of meningitis, but the investigation into his infection with Ebola continues until the specific tests are completed, according to what Rigian de Paula, an official in the state’s disease control coordination, announced in a statement on Sunday.
Another man isolated
In Rio de Janeiro, the Secretariat of Health announced the isolation of a man who had arrived from Uganda. He arrived in Brazil on May 22, and showed viral symptoms such as coughing, chills, and diarrhea.
The Rio de Janeiro mayor’s office said in an email on Sunday that tests conducted on the man showed he had malaria, but his condition was still under investigation.
Authorities in São Paulo confirmed that a technical assessment indicates that the risk of the disease spreading to Brazil and South America remains very low.
