The Ruler of Sharjah approves the employment of 717 citizens in the emirate’s government

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, approved the employment of 717 male and female citizens in government agencies in the emirate, adding to the 633 male and female citizens previously employed in the government sector during the first five months of the current year 2026, bringing the total number of employees to 1,350 male and female citizens within less than six months.
In the same context, His Highness approved the Sharjah Program plan to qualify and train job seekers, which extends from June to November 2026, and accommodates 410 citizens, each of whom receives a monthly stipend of 6 thousand dirhams, while the total cost of the program amounts to 14 million and 760 thousand dirhams. This is according to what was announced by Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Head of the Human Resources Department in Sharjah, during a phone call on the “Direct Line” program broadcast on Sharjah TV.
