Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of the Family, confirmed that the UAE continues to establish an advanced civilized and humanitarian model in supporting the family and enhancing the status of parents, based on the vision of the wise leadership that places the person and the family at the heart of development priorities, and believes that the cohesive family represents the basis for building a prosperous and sustainable society.

On the occasion of International Parents’ Day, the Minister pointed out that empowering parents represents a direct investment in the future of society, which the UAE is keen to devote by developing an integrated system of policies, initiatives and programs that support the stability of the family and enhance its quality of life, and provide a supportive environment for parents that enables them to perform their educational and social mission in an optimal way, noting that the “Year of the Family 2026” embodies the vision of the UAE in consolidating the status of the family and enhancing its stability, and national efforts are also consistent with the goals of The “National Agenda for Family Growth 2031” aims to support the quality of family life, enhance the cohesion between family members, and empower parents with the knowledge and skills that help them build a stable and balanced family environment capable of keeping pace with the future and preserving national identity and values.

The Minister of the Family said: The strength of societies begins with a cohesive family dominated by love, care, and good role models, as it is the first nucleus for building a human being, creating values, and consolidating national identity, noting that the Ministry of the Family continues to work on developing specific initiatives and programs that enhance family cohesion, develop parents’ skills in dealing with modern educational and social challenges, and support the balance between professional and family life, which contributes to building generations capable of achieving the desired national ambitions.

She added that the celebration of International Parents’ Day embodies a global appreciation for the pivotal role that parents play in raising children, instilling values, building personality, and enhancing belonging and responsibility. She congratulated all fathers and mothers on this occasion, appreciating their great efforts and continuous dedication to caring for and raising children, and the daily contributions they make towards building stable and cohesive families, in a way that enhances societal cohesion and preserves the system of values ​​​​entrenched in Emirati society.
