The first version of Parakarate supports the participation of people of determination
Sharjah, June 1, 2017 – The Emirates Karate Federation confirmed that holding the first edition of the Parakarate Championship for People of Determination is an important step in the process of supporting the sport of people of determination, and enhancing their presence in official competitions, to achieve the principle of comprehensive inclusion, and to highlight their sporting capabilities.
Maryam Al Shamsi, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, said that the tournament, which was held in the Sharjah Sports Club hall, Al Hazana branch, with the participation of 42 male and female players, achieved great success, noting that the sport of “parakarate” receives wide attention on a continental and international level, in light of the Federation’s keenness to keep up with it by organizing local tournaments, and preparing and qualifying cadres, to support this important category of athletes, praising the distinguished presence of women’s refereeing cadres, and the development of the role of Emirati women, both in The level of competitions or the organizational, technical and arbitration aspects.
