Fujairah Theater presents new shows and honors supporters of the theatrical movement
Fujairah, June 1, 2017 – Fujairah Theater presented a new group of theatrical performances, which strengthened its presence in the cultural and artistic scenes, and honored a number of personalities and entities supporting the theatrical movement, in appreciation of their contributions to enhancing the theater’s presence and supporting purposeful artistic initiatives in the emirate.
The organization of these performances comes within the framework of the Fujairah Theater’s keenness to stimulate the theatrical movement and present various artistic works targeting various segments of society, and contribute to consolidating the theater’s position as a platform for creativity and expression, and an effective means of enhancing cultural and artistic awareness, discovering young theatrical talents and refining their abilities.
The activities organized by the theater included new theatrical performances, including works directed at children and families, reflecting its interest in expanding the audience base and strengthening the relationship of new generations with theatrical arts, through content that combines entertainment, educational values, and purposeful community messages.
Sultan Malih, Vice Chairman of the Fujairah Theater Board of Directors, stressed that the honor represents a message of loyalty to everyone who contributed to supporting the theatrical movement, pointing out that the theater does not advance the efforts of artists alone, but rather through the integration of the roles of institutions, supporters and the public, who all form a basic pillar for the continuation of artistic and cultural giving.
The continuing theatrical movement in Fujairah reflects the emirate’s growing position on the map of performing arts, in light of the cultural events and programs it witnesses that contribute to supporting Emirati theatre, enhancing its presence locally and in the Gulf, and consolidating its role in serving society and developing artistic taste.
