The Crown Prince of Sharjah chairs the Executive Council meeting

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, chaired this morning, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Council, the Council meeting, which was held in the office of His Highness the Ruler.

During its meeting, the Council discussed general government policies and the most prominent plans that the policies are working to achieve to advance people and provide the best and fastest services within an integrated government system.

The Council reviewed the efforts of the Sharjah Cybersecurity Center in developing an integrated system for information security and cybersecurity, consolidating its culture, and qualifying human capabilities in a way that contributes to achieving sustainability and comprehensive protection of the information security system, and the most prominent achievements that have been achieved since the establishment of the center.

The center achieved a number of achievements at the strategic level, governance, readiness, and cyber capabilities development, including developing frameworks for managing cyber incidents, securing operational process systems, information security governance, risk management methodology and rapid response plan, scanning security vulnerabilities and evaluating government websites, adopting 4 development paths and more than 20 technical workshops, and training more than 175 government employees from various government agencies.

The Council adopted the Cybersecurity Strategy for the Emirate of Sharjah (2026 – 2031), which aims to enhance the level of institutional maturity in the field of cybersecurity at the emirate level by building a flexible digital system that establishes the principle of security as a basic priority.

The Council appreciated the efforts made by the Sharjah Cybersecurity Center and its vital and important role, and directed coordination with all government agencies to achieve all the goals set by the cybersecurity strategy, unify efforts, and follow best practices in cybersecurity.

The Council issued two decisions regarding fees, fines and bonuses of the Sharjah Institute for Judicial Sciences in the Emirate of Sharjah, which enhances the role of the Institute in providing the best training services and qualifying specialists in the legal and judicial fields.
