"Family care" Launches a podcast "And figs" To discuss family issues and enhance their quality of life

ABU DHABI, June 2, 2018 (WAM) – The Abu Dhabi Family Welfare Authority announced the launch of the “Wateen” podcast, as part of its efforts to enhance community awareness and support family stability and cohesion, by providing simplified awareness content that addresses family and community issues, in line with the objectives of the “Year of the Family.”

The podcast aims to shed light on contemporary family issues, provide practical guidance and specialized discussions in which experts and specialists participate, which contributes to enabling individuals and families to deal with various challenges with confidence and awareness, and enhancing the quality of life in society.

The first episode of the podcast, entitled “You Are Not Alone: ​​When Do We Ask for Support and How Do We Get It?”, addressed the topic of raising awareness of indicators of the need for family, psychological and social support, enabling families to obtain help free of stigma, and encouraging them to seek support when needed, within an environment that preserves privacy and enhances human dignity.

The episode was hosted by Dr. Fatima Al Mansouri, Consultant Psychiatrist, while it was presented by journalist Khaled Al Rumaithi. It discussed ways to access support services and the importance of early intervention in enhancing family and social stability.
