17.57 billion euros, the market value of the 2026 World Cup teams

Dubai, June 2, 2026 – The market value of the 2026 World Cup teams has risen to 17.57 billion euros, days before the start of the global tournament scheduled for the period from June 11 to next July 19 in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

With the completion of the list of 48 teams participating in the first edition of the World Cup under the new system, which was divided into 12 groups, each containing 4 teams, the total market value of the participating teams rose to 17.57 billion euros, compared to 17.27 billion euros at the end of last May.

According to the Transfer Market website, which specializes in numbers and statistics, the French team, runner-up to the 2022 World Cup, topped the list of the tournament’s highest teams with a marketing value of 1.53 billion euros, ahead of the English team, whose value reached 1.31 billion euros, then the Spanish team came third with a value of 1.26 billion euros.

The Portuguese team came in fourth place with a market value of 1.02 billion euros, while the German team ranked fifth with a value of 998 million euros, followed by the Brazilian team in sixth place with a value of 912.2 million euros.

The Dutch team ranked seventh with a value of 837.2 million euros, ahead of the defending champions, the Argentine team, whose value amounted to 818.5 million euros, in eighth place, while the Norwegian team came ninth with a value of 601 million euros, and the Belgian team tenth with a value of 542.9 million euros.

At the level of African teams, Côte d’Ivoire topped the list with a market value of 530.9 million euros, ranking 11th globally among the participating teams, ahead of Morocco, which came in 13th place with a value of 488.2 million euros, Senegal in 14th place with a value of 472.9 million euros, and the Turkish national team in 12th place with a value of 494.2 million euros.

The Moroccan team had the highest marketing value among the Arab teams participating in the 2026 World Cup, with a total of 488.2 million euros, ranked 13th globally, ahead of the Algerian team, which ranked among the highest-valued teams on the African continent with 257.6 million euros, and 24th globally.

The data showed the continued dominance of European teams on the list of the highest marketing value, with 8 European teams occupying the top ten positions, with the exception of the Brazilian team and its Argentine counterpart from the Latin continent.
