“SAMA”: The value of clearing checks increased by 32% to 5.2 billion riyals by the end of April

According to data from the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia, the number of bank clearing checks in the category of individuals and companies during the month of April 2026 reached about 37 thousand checks, with a value of 5.20 billion SAR, with an average of 141.5 thousand riyals per check.

This represents an increase of 32.1% compared to the month of March 2026, when the number of checks reached 28 thousand checks, with a total value of 3.82 billion riyals, and an increase in value by 35.9%, while the average value of the check recorded an increase of 3.6%.

On an annual basis, the number of checks decreased by 26%. Compared to April 2025, when the number of checks then reached 50 thousand checks worth 7.40 billion riyals, the total value decreased by 29.7%, and the average value of the check decreased by 4.2%.
