The Emirates Red Crescent allocates new humanitarian aid worth 36.7 million dirhams to support the Gaza Strip

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Authority allocated new humanitarian aid worth 36.7 million dirhams to support the humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, as part of Operation “The Gallant Knight 3”, which was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and is implemented by the UAE to alleviate the suffering of those affected and enhance the response. The directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan embody the UAE’s continued keenness to alleviate the suffering of those affected and provide them with the basic necessities of life, in a way that enhances their steadfastness and contributes to improving their humanitarian and living conditions.

This aid also falls within the ongoing humanitarian efforts implemented by the UAE to support the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, and is an embodiment of the country’s established approach to extending a helping hand to the needy and affected people in various parts of the world.

The aid includes providing more than 160,000 food baskets and more than 40,000 health packages, in addition to quantities of other basic supplies and needs, which contributes to supporting affected families and meeting their living and health needs in light of the current circumstances.

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority confirmed the continuation of its humanitarian and relief efforts within Operation “The Gallant Knight 3” by implementing specific programs and initiatives in the areas of food security, health care, shelter and community support, in coordination with the relevant authorities and humanitarian partners, to ensure that aid reaches the beneficiaries and achieve the greatest possible humanitarian impact.
