Former Spain national team star Andres Iniesta confirmed that Dubai represents an attractive environment for sports investment, stressing that he has a clear vision of the working mechanisms of sports academies in the emirate thanks to his residence there for more than three years.
He said during the launch ceremony of the Iniesta Academy in Dubai on Wednesday that he and his family are happy to live in Dubai, noting that the academy plans to expand by opening multiple branches in various regions of the emirate, while maintaining the priority of quality training and preparing players.
Iniesta, the new coach of Gulf United – one of the first division teams in the UAE League – added during the ceremony announcing the new academy project: “The academy will adopt a global methodology in sports training, with a focus on developing talents according to the latest artistic and technical methods adopted in modern football.”
He stated that the academy will begin its activity on the first of next September, becoming the fifth academy bearing his name after its branches in Japan, Spain, Kuwait and Egypt.
