Schedule of Egypt’s matches in the 2026 World Cup… searching for the first victory

The Egyptian national team enters the World Cup finals with ambitions that go beyond simply registering attendance, as the “Pharaohs” set their sights on achieving the first victory in their history at the World Cup, and writing a new page in the record of their international participation.

Egypt is preparing for its fourth participation in the World Cup after the 1934, 1990 and 2018 editions, after it succeeded in securing a well-deserved qualification ticket after topping its group in the African qualifiers without any loss.

Despite the historical status of Egyptian football on the continent, its national team has never achieved any victory in the World Cup finals, as it played seven matches in its previous participations, during which it was satisfied with two draws and five defeats, which makes the 2026 edition a historic opportunity to break this knot that has been going on for more than nine decades.
