Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein renewed Iraq’s condemnation of the attack on the Barakah nuclear power plant, stressing Baghdad’s categorical rejection of any attack targeting civilian and vital installations, and its adherence to its position of rejecting expanding the scope of the war or destabilizing the security and stability of the region.
During a phone call with the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, Hussein confirmed his country’s readiness to cooperate with the Gulf states by forming specialized and joint investigation committees to help determine the parties responsible for the attacks that targeted a number of Gulf states, according to what was reported by the Iraqi News Agency, “INA.”
