"Edge" and"Naval" They are moving forward with developing integrated maritime air defense capabilities

France, June 17, 2026 – EDGE, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defense groups, and NAVAL Group, a global company working in maritime defense systems and maritime security solutions, signed an agreement during the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition to conduct a series of test launches of the Halken Sky Knight air defense missile using NAVAL Group’s Rampart multi-purpose and modular launch system.

The agreement, signed between Naval and Halken, a subsidiary of the EDGE Group specializing in the production of smart weapons, represents the next stage of cooperation between the two companies, as it will support the integration of the “Sky Knight” missile with the Rampart system, expanding the potential options for naval operators seeking flexible and multi-layered air defense capabilities in the face of advanced air threats.

The series of experiments will be conducted in the UAE between 2026 and 2027, starting with a stage of land tests before moving on to sea shows. The program will combine Naval Group’s expertise in integrating naval combat systems and weapons delivery technology, with Halken’s advanced capabilities in missile development and manufacturing.

The integration efforts reflect a shared commitment to delivering adaptable and cost-effective defense solutions that meet emerging operational requirements across multiple domains.

By integrating a highly advanced short-range air defense system with a modular naval launch architecture, the cooperation seeks to give operators greater operational flexibility, enhance mission readiness, and provide more effective capabilities in the face of increasingly complex threat environments.
