Schools issue exit permits for students in private cars during exam days

Public and private schools that implement the Ministry of Education’s curriculum have taken new regulatory measures to control the movement of students during the examination period at the end of the third semester of the academic year 2025-2026, by adopting special permit cards for students wishing to leave the school using private cars during the days of examinations, within the framework of enhancing safety procedures and ensuring that students are handed over to their parents or persons officially authorized to receive them.

School administrations informed parents through circulars seen by Emirates Today of the necessity of completing the procedures for issuing a temporary exit permit before the start of the final exams for the current academic year 2025-2026, by printing the designated card, attaching a personal photo of the male or female student, and having the guardian sign it, while requiring students to carry the permit daily throughout the exam period extending from June 24 to next July 3, to show it when leaving the school campus.

The schools confirmed that the permit focuses on organizing dismissal operations during the examination period, which usually witnesses the departure of large numbers of students at close times, which contributes to enhancing traffic flow in front of schools, reducing any unauthorized departures, and ensuring verification of the identity of the persons authorized to accompany students.

According to the approved forms, which Emirates Today reviewed, the permit card includes the data of the male or female student, the academic grade, and the person authorized to accompany her upon departure, in addition to the signature of the guardian and a personal photo of the student, which provides a direct means of verification for the administrative and security bodies charged with organizing the departure movement.

The departments stressed that carrying the card on a daily basis is a prerequisite for benefiting from the private car departure service during the testing period, calling on parents to accurately complete the required data and submit it on time to avoid any delay or confusion during the departure process.

These measures come in conjunction with schools’ preparations for the end-of-year exams, which are witnessing the implementation of a package of organizational measures aimed at providing a safe and organized testing environment, including organizing the entry and exit of students, managing the movement of vehicles in front of schools, and facilitating pick-up and delivery operations in a way that maintains the safety of students and ensures the smooth flow of school work during the exam period.

The schools confirmed that this step falls within an integrated system of precautionary and regulatory measures that are implemented during the exam season, to strengthen the partnership with parents, raise the levels of security and safety for students, and ensure that they leave the school campus according to documented and officially approved mechanisms.
