Emirati heritage is a bridge between cultures at the Beijing International Book Fair

Abu Dhabi, June 18 / WAM / The Emirati heritage is present in the corridors of the Beijing International Book Fair 2026, and among publishing houses and cultural institutions coming from various countries of the world, through the participation of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority within the UAE pavilion, “The Emirati House”, to provide visitors with a distinctive experience that reflects the authenticity and richness of the Emirati heritage.

Emirati handicrafts are one of the main stops that attract visitors. The authority presents live models of a number of traditional crafts associated with the life of ancient Emirati society, through which visitors discover how the Emirati was able to employ the resources available in the local environment to produce tools and collectibles that meet his daily needs, and at the same time reflect his creative skills and precision in work.

These interactive displays also give the public the opportunity to learn closely about the human and social stories associated with these crafts, which still represent an integral part of the national memory.

The traditional Emirati costumes displayed by the Authority receive remarkable attention from visitors to the exhibition, because of the cultural and social connotations it carries that reflect the specificity of national identity. In the atmosphere of the exhibition, echoes of Emirati heritage performing arts reverberate, as the authority presents performances of the Shallah and Al-Taghrooda that attract the attention of the audience, and give them an opportunity to learn about these arts, which carry in their words and melodies social and human values ​​that express the spirit of Emirati society and its relationship with its environment and history.

Participation is not limited to heritage performances, but extends to cultural dialogue and knowledge exchange, as the Authority participates in the conference “The Future of Emirati-Chinese Cultural Relations,” in addition to organizing a specialized dialogue session that discusses the role of cultural institutions in preserving and promoting heritage, benefiting from the Emirati and Chinese experiences in this field.

Through this participation, the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority continues its efforts to preserve heritage and enhance its presence on the global map, stressing that heritage remains the closest language between peoples, the bridge that enhances human understanding and rapprochement, and opens new horizons for cultural cooperation between countries.
