A new guide to facilitate the import and export of Saudi cultural goods and services

The guide provides a comprehensive framework for the international trade journey of culture through five main steps, starting with learning about the cultural sector in the Kingdom, understanding the commercial journey of cultural products and services, identifying possible entities for trade, passing through general guidelines, all the way to determining the type of support needed and how to obtain it.

Cultural Development

The guide targets practitioners, creators, service providers and companies Cultural services, and government agencies supporting the cultural sector, in addition to experts and those interested in cultural development, which contribute to clarifying the legal and regulatory procedures and requirements associated with the movement of cultural goods and services across borders.

The guide also defines cultural goods as physical products that convey ideas, symbols, and lifestyles, such as books, crafts, fashion, films, and multimedia.

While cultural services include what is related to meeting cultural needs and interests, such as event management, And translation, organizing exhibitions, and services supporting cultural production.

Sub-cultural sectors

The guide deals with sub-cultural sectors in the Kingdom, the most prominent of which are: archaeological and historical sites, architecture and design, culinary arts, fashion, heritage, libraries, literature, publishing and translation, museums, music, natural heritage, theater and performing arts, visual arts, festivals and events, and films.
