The first case of bird flu was discovered in Australia

Australian Agriculture Minister Julie Collins confirmed today the discovery of the first case of bird flu of the H5N1 strain in a remote area in the southwest of the country.

Collins stated that tests confirmed the infection of the bird, which was found on a beach located about 700 kilometers southeast of Perth, the capital of the state of Western Australia.
