For citizens and residents.. The Ministry of Education launches a “readiness” program for school students

The Ministry of Education announced the opening of registration for students in grades nine to twelfth, and teachers in public, private and technical schools, to participate in the “Our National Ambassadors – Readiness” programme, which the Ministry is implementing virtually in cooperation with a number of leading universities in the UAE during the summer vacation of 2026, with the aim of developing the skills of scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship, and preparing a generation capable of competing in the fields of knowledge and the future economy.

The Ministry has set the period for implementing the program from 6 to 24 July, for 3 hours a day, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the exception of Saturday and Sunday, within an interactive distance learning environment that combines academic training, practical application, and cognitive enrichment.

The Ministry confirmed that the program targets students in grades nine to twelfth, citizens and residents of public, private, and technical schools across the country, provided that the student’s overall academic average is not less than 90%, including scientific subjects and the English language, with the need to attach the latest transcript, which indicates the student’s name, academic description, and school upon registration.

The Ministry also required that students commit to daily attendance throughout the program period, and to actively participate in the scheduled training activities and tasks, in order to ensure maximum benefit from the academic and skill content it offers.

Regarding teachers, the Ministry explained that the program targets teachers of scientific subjects for grades nine to twelfth in government, private and technical schools, both citizens and residents, on the condition of being fully proficient in the English language, and participating in the program as trainees and supervisors of students at the same time, in addition to a commitment to performing all required tasks.

The “Ihtisad” program includes three main tracks, designed to keep pace with national trends in building human capabilities and empowering students with future skills. They include: the scientific research track, the enrichment track, and the innovation and entrepreneurship track. These tracks provide advanced opportunities for students to gain academic and skill experiences in the fields of scientific thinking, innovation, design, problem solving, and teamwork.

The program comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Education to enhance students’ readiness for the university stage, expand their scientific and professional awareness, and connect them with specialized academic expertise from higher education institutions in the country, which contributes to discovering national talents and refining their capabilities in the scientific, technological and innovative fields.

The Ministry called on those wishing to participate to complete registration procedures before June 25, stressing that registration will close as soon as the target number is completed, and any application that does not include the required transcript according to the latest academic certificate available to the student will not be accepted.
