The inclusion of… "Historic Jeddah" Within a list "UNESCO" Because it meets three of the criteria of Outstanding Universal Value, as it expresses the exchange of human values, building materials and architectural styles across the Red Sea region, in addition to its historical role as a center for trade and pilgrimage, which strengthens its historical connection with Hajj, both on the architectural and urban level.

This marks the twelfth anniversary of the presence of "Historic Jeddah" On the UNESCO World Heritage List, consolidating its position globally as a living heritage site, a distinctive cultural tourist destination, and a vibrant center for culture, arts, and creativity.

These efforts are consistent with the objectives of (the Kingdom’s Vision 2030), to promote culture as a way of life, and support it as an economic engine, which contributes to and enhances the Kingdom’s position as a model for sustainable urban transformation.
