The UAE and the United States are strengthening their partnership in the field of artificial intelligence and technology

Minister of State Saeed Al Hajri headed the United Arab Emirates delegation participating in the second edition of the “Pax Silica” summit, which was held in Washington, USA, and brought together partner countries and major technology companies with the aim of strengthening reliable supply chains for artificial intelligence and developing a secure infrastructure.
The UAE delegation included Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Science and Advanced Technology, Omran Sharaf, along with representatives of an elite group of leading national companies in the technology sector, including G42, Core42, and MGX, in addition to the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA). This participation reflected the leading artificial intelligence system in the country, and established the UAE’s position as a reliable global partner in developing and disseminating responsible artificial intelligence technologies.
During the summit, the UAE joined 35 countries in the joint statement on artificial intelligence opportunities, confirming the country’s continued commitment to contribute to building a reliable and comprehensive global artificial intelligence system, based on innovation, secure supply chains, and flexible infrastructure.
The UAE continues its commitment to working closely with its international partners to enhance the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in a way that enhances innovation, establishes trust, and achieves sustainable economic and development benefits for societies around the world.
The UAE’s participation included holding a number of bilateral meetings with the United States and other member states of “Pax Silica,” namely: Qatar, Finland, India, Israel, the European Union, South Korea, Norway, the Philippines, Costa Rica, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, to discuss prospects for cooperation and expanding the partnership within the framework of the “Pax Silica” initiative.
Al Hajri said: The UAE and the United States have a solid strategic partnership based on a shared vision and pioneering future aspirations. The “Pax Silica” initiative represents a practical framework that translates this ambition into institutional reality. The UAE is proud to have been one of the first Arab Gulf countries to join this initiative, and confirms its full commitment to supporting its success through investment, implementing joint projects, and strengthening the trust established by more than fifty years of partnership with the United States.
