The Supplementary Grants Committee for Retirees in Sharjah approves 31 new applications worth 1.7 million dirhams

The Supplementary Grants Committee for Retirees in the Emirate of Sharjah held its periodic meeting under the chairmanship of His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, Head of the Human Resources Department, Chairman of the Committee, and in the presence of the Committee members.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the developments in work related to supplementary grants, and discussed ways to develop mechanisms for providing support in a way that enhances its efficiency and sustainability for the beneficiary groups.
The committee approved 31 new applications that meet the requirements for obtaining the supplementary grant for retirees, at an annual cost of one million, 747 thousand and 200 dirhams, with the amounts being disbursed into the beneficiaries’ accounts during the month of June 2026.
The committee stressed that continuing to approve applications for supplementary grants comes within the framework of the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah aimed at enhancing the living stability of retirees, by providing support that contributes to meeting their life requirements, according to a methodology that ensures the efficiency of studying applications and the speed of deciding on them, in a way that establishes the principles of social justice, and is consistent with the emirate’s vision of supporting various segments of society.
