Dubai Airport is preparing to receive the peak of summer and expects 3 million guests during the first half of July

Dubai International Airport is preparing to enter the peak summer travel season, with about 3 million guests expected to pass through its terminals during the first half of this July. The peak period begins with a noticeable increase in departures starting tomorrow, July 2, as residents head out to spend their summer vacations.

According to a press release issued today, July 12 is expected to be the busiest day, with more than 225,000 guests being received, within a two-week period during which daily traffic repeatedly exceeds the 200,000 guests barrier.

It is also expected that the movement of passengers passing through the airport will constitute about 50% of the total number of guests, which reflects Dubai’s position as one of the most interconnected and connected global aviation hubs in the world.

Dubai Airports is working to transform the peak of travel during the summer period into an experience that carries a human nature closer to the guests. Passengers departing from and transiting through the airport in Concourse B in Terminal 3, “next to Gates B28,” can participate in the interactive Dubai in the Heart experience, which allows them to be part of a group painting that expresses the diversity of Dubai’s society and its global presence before continuing their journey.

By uploading a selfie, each guest’s photo is added to a growing digital mosaic in the colors of the UAE flag, which grows with each traveler passing through Dubai International Airport, bringing together individual moments into one image that expresses the unifying spirit of Dubai.

The experience also includes a space dedicated to handwritten messages, allowing guests to share words expressing pride, gratitude and belonging, adding a personal dimension to this initiative.

The experience is not limited to this interactive space only, but also extends to rewards that guests can benefit from at participating stores throughout the airport, including souvenirs and exclusive offers.
