Marine Center launches "Abu Dhabi Marine Works Compass" To promote global investments in the emirate

ABU DHABI, 1st July / WAM / The Maritime Center – Abu Dhabi, the cooperative platform that brings together various stakeholders in the growing maritime sector in the emirate, under the supervision of the Integrated Transport Center (Abu Dhabi Mobility) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, and under the Abu Dhabi Maritime Administration, launched a new guide aimed at supporting international maritime companies and entrepreneurs wishing to settle and expand in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The guide, entitled “Abu Dhabi Maritime Business Compass: Your Gateway to Global Opportunities,” reviews the most prominent elements that enhance the competitiveness of the maritime sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in addition to the growth opportunities available to international companies.
The guide is based on a set of data, statistics and certificates, as well as insights and analyzes provided by DNV, as it highlights Abu Dhabi’s strategic position as a global trade center, supported by world-class infrastructure and an integrated network of multi-modal means of transportation linking it to Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
Each section of the guide provides a clear study of international companies and potential partners in the maritime sector towards the feasibility of investing and working in the emirate, and highlights how international companies can benefit from the next phase of economic growth in Abu Dhabi, in light of consolidating its position as one of the fastest growing maritime centers in the world, as the emirate was able to make progress by 10 places since 2022 to rank 22nd globally in the Leading Maritime Cities Report for 2024.
The guide includes a comprehensive overview of the integrated maritime system in Abu Dhabi, the thriving business environment, and the network of active entities and institutions in the sector, in addition to the quality of life that the emirate provides to its residents and visitors. It also provides a set of resources and contacts that help those interested in starting their investment and business journey in Abu Dhabi.
In general, the guide confirms the long-term stability enjoyed by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a flexible future destination ready to embrace trade, investment and innovation, and its launch is in line with the UAE’s vision to achieve sustainable economic development and diversify the economy.
The Integrated Transport Center (Abu Dhabi Transport) leads the work of the Maritime Center – Abu Dhabi, while it is operated by Abu Dhabi Marine, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group. It works to unify the efforts of government and private entities working in the maritime sector in the emirate with the aim of enhancing communication, providing local and international opportunities, and cooperating in implementing initiatives that contribute to consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global maritime centre.

It also reflects the Integrated Transport Center’s commitment to developing a comprehensive, knowledge-based transport system that supports economic growth, indicating that the Maritime Center – Abu Dhabi continues its efforts to raise the emirate’s position as a global maritime center capable of keeping pace with… changes and achieving sustainable growth.
