Trump describes the US-Iranian talks as “very good”

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday praised the progress made in indirect talks between Iran and the United States in Doha, noting “very good meetings” between the two sides.

Trump said as he prepared to board his new Air Force One plane that Qatar had gifted him for a trip to North Dakota, “Based on how things are going, the denuclearization of Iran is going well. They have had very good meetings, and we will see what happens,” adding, “We hit them very hard… but we get along very well.”

On Wednesday, Doha will witness indirect technical talks between American and Iranian officials through mediators, as part of diplomatic efforts to calm tensions after blows exchanged by the two sides after they signed a memorandum of understanding in the middle of last month in preparation for negotiations to find a final solution to the war in the Middle East.
