Trump takes his first flight on the new Air Force One

Today, Wednesday, US President Donald Trump will begin his first flight aboard the new Air Force One, a modified Boeing 747 aircraft worth $400 million presented by Qatar as a gift, in a move that reflects the features of Trump’s personality more deeply on the American presidential institution.
The distinctive light blue fuselage – which helped Air Force One blend into the color of the sky – was no longer visible, as the refurbished plane was painted according to Trump’s favorite color scheme, consisting of a navy belly and red and gold stripes.
According to tours detailed in media reports, the plane contains luxury features that President Trump believes the delegation accompanying the Commander-in-Chief should have, including plush carpeting, fully reclining seats, wood panels, and the presidential seal logo on the seat belts.
Trump told reporters that he was proud of the luxury plane, adding: “You can do one of two things: keep it simple, or show it off.”
The plane takes Trump to North Dakota to visit the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, to be its first official visitor before its opening on the 250th anniversary of America’s independence.
