"Emirates Petroleum" "Emirates" It opens its first station in the Armenian capital, Yerevan

YEREVAN, 1st July / WAM / Emirates Petroleum Company (Emarat), one of the national companies operating in the energy sector, opened the first service station bearing its brand in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, in a step aimed at strengthening its presence in international markets, as part of its strategy for external expansion and consolidating its brand globally.
The opening of the station was the culmination of the strategic partnership concluded by Emarat with Mega Trade, one of the fuel and energy companies in Armenia affiliated with the Cell Capital investment portfolio, following the signing of the partnership agreement between the two sides last year.
The opening ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Nariman Al Mulla, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia, Eng. Ahmed Al Shamsi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emirates Petroleum Company “Emarat” and CEO of Trojan Construction Holding Group, Mr. Burhan Al Hashemi, CEO of Emirates Petroleum Company “Emarat,” and a number of officials and representatives of the energy and business sectors in the two countries.
The station is the first presence of the “Emarat” brand in the Armenian market, while the company, in cooperation with “Mega Trade”, intends to launch a network of service stations throughout Armenia, operating in accordance with the company’s global operational standards, and including fueling services, retail stores, and support services, within an operational model aimed at raising the efficiency of the fuel and energy sector in this country and transferring Emirati expertise to international markets.
Burhan Al Hashemi, CEO of Emirates Petroleum Company (Emarat), confirmed that the opening of the company’s first service station in Yerevan represents a new strategic milestone in its global expansion process, and embodies the success of its business model based on building long-term partnerships and transferring Emirati expertise to promising markets.
He said that this expansion comes within the framework of Emarat’s vision aimed at strengthening its presence in global markets as one of the main pillars of its growth strategy, and that the company continues, through this step, to transfer its global standards in fuel quality, operational excellence and customer experience to new markets, thus enhancing the added value provided by its brand.
He expressed his aspiration to expand the network of “Emarat” stations in Armenia in cooperation with partners, thus enhancing the spread of its brand globally and confirming its ability to provide added value in different markets.
For his part, Edward Sukiasyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cell Capital Investment and a shareholder in Mega Trade, said that choosing Emirates Petroleum Company (Emarat) as a strategic partner reflects its solid experience in managing service stations in accordance with the highest international standards, expressing his confidence that this partnership will contribute to establishing new standards for the energy sector in Armenia, and providing an integrated experience for consumers based on quality, efficiency and innovation.
This step comes in light of the continued growth of economic relations between the UAE and the Republic of Armenia, and the high levels of non-oil bilateral trade in recent years, which enhances the opportunities for expansion of Emirati companies in promising markets, supports the goals of economic diversification, and consolidates the country’s investment presence on the international arena.
