The “Pharaohs” team requests that additional quantities of Egyptian food be shipped to America

The Egyptian national football team has entered the final stage of its preparations to face Australia in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for tomorrow, at 10 pm UAE time, amid special administrative and food arrangements, and an expected Arab crowd in the American city of Dallas, which is hosting the match in one of the largest stadiums of the tournament.

A source within the Egyptian team delegation revealed to “Emirates Al-Youm” that “the administrative body requested that additional quantities of Egyptian food be sent to America, to ensure its availability to the players throughout their stay in the event that the team qualifies for the next round.”

The source added: “This step comes within the framework of maintaining the nutritional program established by the technical staff, led by Hossam Hassan, and avoiding complete reliance on American meals known for their high calories.”

The Egyptian delegation brought with it a quantity of food, along with an Egyptian chef, as part of the technical staff’s plan to maintain the players’ weights and physical levels throughout the tournament, especially in light of the pressure of the matches and the different climatic conditions. The technical staff believes that adherence to the diet is one of the basic factors in maintaining physical readiness.

The Egyptian team concluded its last training session with a clear focus on the technical aspects, after Mohamed Salah’s medical readiness and his participation in the match against Australia were confirmed.

Despite the high temperatures in the city of Dallas to about 32 degrees Celsius, the technical staff does not express major concerns, in light of the match being held at AT&T Stadium, which is covered and equipped with air conditioning systems, which can accommodate about 94,000 spectators, which provides the players with a stable climate away from the influence of heat and humidity outside the field.

On the other hand, Egyptian fans are facing great difficulties in obtaining tickets for the match, after they were sold out through the official channels of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), making the black market the only option for those wishing to attend.

According to the source, ticket prices in the unofficial market rose to about 1,500 US dollars, which prevented large numbers of fans from being able to secure their seats inside the stadium, despite the great demand to attend the match.

Despite the ticket crisis, the Egyptian community continues its preparations to support the national team, after obtaining official permits from the American authorities to organize a mass march in the streets of Dallas before the match. Representatives of the Moroccan, Tunisian, Palestinian and Iraqi communities residing in the city of Dallas confirmed their attendance at the stadium and its surroundings to support the Egyptian national team.
