Full dates for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup for the 2026-2027 season

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the schedule of matches for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions for the new season 2026-2027.

CAF indicated in a statement on its official website today, Thursday, that the new season will begin with the first-leg matches of the first preliminary round from September 4 to 6, 2026, followed by the return matches from September 11 to 13, 2026.

The statement explained that the second preliminary round will be held from October 16 to 18, 2026, while the return matches will be held from October 23 to 25, 2026.

He pointed out that after the preliminary rounds end, the group stage in the two tournaments will begin in late November.

CAF has set the dates for the six rounds in the group stage, where the first round will be held from November 27 to 29, the second round from December 4 to 6, and the third round from 18 to 20 of the same month.

The fourth round will be held during the period from January 8 to 10, 2027, and the fifth and sixth rounds will be held during the period from 15 to 17 and 22 to 24 of the same month, respectively.

In the knockout rounds, the first-leg matches of the quarter-finals will be held from February 26 to 28, while the return round will be held from March 5 to 7, the semi-final first-leg matches will be held from April 9 to 11, and the return matches will be held during the period from 16 to 18 of the same month.

CAF concluded its statement by saying that the final matches of the two tournaments are tentatively scheduled for May 9 and May 31.
