Washington, July 3 / WAM / US stock indices closed mixed on Thursday, with shares of technology companies declining.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index fell by 0.06%, losing 1.53 points, to close at 7,478.66 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index fell by 0.87%, or 226.28 points, to 25,813.75 points.

On the other hand, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.10%, adding 560 points, closing at 52,865.24 points.
