Dubai Police warned families of the dangers of neglecting children during summer vacations and traveling outside the country, stressing the importance of providing continuous care and supervision for children, and adhering to the laws and regulations in force in the countries visited, especially those that enact special laws for children related to neglect and endangering life.
Dubai Police emphasized that protecting children represents a legal and moral responsibility that falls on parents, noting that some practices that may be viewed as simple, such as leaving children alone in places of residence or not following them directly, may expose families to legal accountability in some countries.
Dubai Police called for not leaving children without direct supervision, familiarizing themselves in advance with the laws related to child protection in the destination country, and maintaining continuous communication with children while on the move, in addition to taking the necessary precautions to protect children in public and crowded places.
Dubai Police stressed the importance of keeping emergency numbers and contact information with the UAE embassy abroad, which contributes to quickly dealing with any emergency situations that families may encounter while traveling, calling for investing summer vacations in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring the safety of children.
