Japanese stocks diverged"Topix" It continues to rise for the sixth day

TOKYO, July 6, 2017 (WAM) – Japanese stocks were mixed today, with the broader Topix index rising for the sixth day in a row, as lower oil prices and positive momentum in global markets contributed to boosting investor sentiment.
The Topix index rose 0.50 percent to 4,084.74 points, achieving its longest winning streak since August 2025.
As for the Nikkei Index, which is dominated by technology stocks, it suffered from a lack of clarity in direction, declining 0.16 percent at 69,630.74 points.
