Gold prices decline after recording the highest level in two weeks

Gold prices fell today, with the rise in the dollar and US Treasury bond yields, as investors awaited the release of the minutes of the Federal Reserve (US Central Bank) meeting for the month of June, searching for clues about the direction of the monetary policy of new Governor Kevin Warsh.
Gold in spot transactions fell 0.9 percent to $4,127.59 per ounce by 0639 GMT, while US gold futures for August delivery fell 0.7 percent to $4,139.50.
As for other precious metals, silver fell in spot transactions 1.6 percent to $61.10 per ounce, platinum fell 0.9 percent to $1,617.20, and palladium fell 1.3 percent to $1,251.61.
