Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed meets with the prize winners of the second edition of the “Khalifa Fund for Entrepreneurship Competition”

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, met with the prize winners of the second edition of the “Khalifa Fund for Entrepreneurship Competition.”
His Highness congratulated the award winners and exchanged friendly conversations with them about their ambitious projects and ideas that reflect the awareness of Emirati youth about their pivotal role in supporting the development process to continue building a sustainable competitive economy based on knowledge and innovation.
The award winners expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Highness for this meeting, which reflects the wise leadership’s interest in empowering youth and enhancing their role to contribute effectively to the national development process, stressing that the support and care they receive constitutes an incentive to continue excellence and innovation in developing solutions that contribute to anticipating and creating the future.
The Khalifa Fund Entrepreneurship Competition witnessed the participation of 509 entrepreneurs, startups, youth and talents to provide practical solutions to real challenges in various vital economic sectors. Qualified projects were selected to participate in an intensive training camp, including 28 startups in Abu Dhabi, 21 in the Al Ain region, and 8 in the Al Dhafra region. The startups benefited from guidance and guidance programs in preparation for the final stages of the competition.
The final stage of the competition resulted in the awarding of 5 innovative projects in the sectors of tourism, financial technology, energy, healthcare, and agriculture. And 3 awards in the innovation category in artificial intelligence solutions, the field of sustainability, and the robotics sector.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, said: The Khalifa Fund for Entrepreneurship Competition reflects our belief that promising ideas are the starting point for national companies capable of creating sustainable economic value, and what we are witnessing today in the quality of projects and the spirit of innovation among Emirati youth confirms that building the economy of the future begins with empowering entrepreneurs, and providing them with knowledge, financing, and partnerships that transform ideas into projects with a real impact. The Khalifa Fund will continue its role in providing a supportive environment that enables national competencies to grow, and contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Abu Dhabi’s economy and consolidating its position as a global center for innovation and entrepreneurship.
