Syrian security arrests the cell responsible for the Damascus bombings

Yesterday evening, Syrian security forces arrested the cell responsible for the two explosions that occurred in the Syrian capital, Damascus, two days ago.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior explained that the Internal Security Forces, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Service, succeeded in overthrowing all members of the cell responsible for the recent Damascus bombings, indicating that the security operation came after careful intelligence follow-up, and was carried out through a series of simultaneous raids targeting various locations in Damascus and its countryside, including the areas of Al-Qatifah, Sayyida Zeinab, the Qudsaya suburb, and Ish Al-Warwar.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted the Ministry of Interior as confirming that investigations are continuing with those arrested, to reveal the full details of the terrorist plan and the cell’s connections.
For his part, Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khattab indicated that the identity of the cell members, their roles, and all of their connections will be revealed to public opinion after completing investigations against them.
