From Tuesday to Friday, students in grades four through twelfth take retake tests

The Ministry of Education has approved the timetable for repeat tests for the 2025-2026 academic year, which begins on Tuesday, July 14, and continues until Friday, July 17, targeting students in grades four to twelve in public and private schools that follow the Ministry’s curriculum, in order to provide a final opportunity for students who have not achieved a passing grade in one of the Group (A) subjects by the end of the school year.
According to the timetable for the tests, repeat tests are applied to students who have not achieved the lower final in any main subject within Group (A), which includes the following subjects: Arabic language, mathematics, science, chemistry, physics, biology, English language, Islamic education, social studies and moral education, while the final grade for the subject is calculated after passing the repeat test at the lower final specified for the subject, even if the student obtains a higher grade in the test.
The Ministry confirmed that exams for grades five through twelfth will be held electronically, with all students required to physically attend schools, while fourth-grade students take their exams on paper inside the school. She also stressed the need for all students to bring their personal computers during the electronic testing period, to ensure that they proceed in accordance with the approved technical controls.
She explained that twelfth grade students in private schools will take retake tests within government schools, according to supervisory arrangements and direct coordination between schools and branch coordinators, ensuring unified testing procedures and achieving justice among all students.
The Ministry stressed that retake tests represent the last opportunity for deserving students to complete the requirements for success and move to higher grades, calling on students to adhere to attendance dates, bring the necessary electronic devices and tools, and adhere to all instructions regulating the conduct of the tests, ensuring that they are performed in an organized atmosphere that achieves equal opportunities among all applicants.
The exam schedule includes independent programs for each study track in the twelfth grade. Students in the general, advanced, and elite tracks begin on Tuesday, July 14, with the mathematics test from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., and the Arabic language from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., while the applied track students take the applied mathematics test in the morning, followed by the Arabic language test at noon.
Students will continue their exams on Wednesday, July 15, in English from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and Chemistry from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., while students in the applied track take only English on that day.
Thursday, July 16, is allocated for physics tests from 9:00 to 11:00 am and Islamic education from 12:00 to 2:00 pm for the general, advanced, and elite tracks, while students in the applied track take the applied sciences test in the morning, then Islamic education at noon.
The repeat tests will conclude on Friday, July 17, with students in the general, advanced, and elite tracks taking the biology test from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by the social studies test from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, while the applied track program is limited to the social studies test from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
